I'm a PhD candidate at the university of Napoli under the supervision of professor Stefano Russo. My research topic is focused on reliability in publish/subscribe systems deployed at Internet scale. I'm collaborating with Selex-SI, a leading italian company that devices mission critical systems for Air Traffic Management (ATM). Therefore, the motivating example of my research is how to guarantee reliable and timely event dissemination in the novel European ATM framework, which consists in the integration of all the ATM infrastructures of each European country. I'm investigating proactive techniques to assure event delivery despite losses imposed by the network and process crashes without leading to massive performance degradations.
